Member of the Month: Millie Carrillo

Each month the Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside recognizes one young person as Member of the Month. This month it is Millie Carrillo, an 8th grader at Cunha. 

Millie is a strong academic student with excellent time management and communication skills. She is also sweet and very friendly! For example, Millie had a positive attitude when working on her Historical Figure project. She used her time wisely and was determined to complete the project.

She is grateful to Sandra Sarabia (BGCC Cunha Site Manager) — and the terrific staff that helps with homework.

At the Club, she also enjoys going to the Event Center to play volleyball! If she didn’t have the Club, she would take the bus home or go to the library.

The Club provides a safe place to hang out after school with her friends.

Millie says her superpower is kindness. In her free time, she enjoys baking red velvet cupcakes. Both skills may be beneficial if she pursues her career aspirations to be a nurse or a teacher!
