Counselors in Training in Summer Day Camp Program (CIT)

 

The CIT program offers teens the opportunity to develop leadership and program skills. The focus is on group dynamics, communication skills, teamwork and values clarification. CITs help to organize games and activities with our day camp members and assist the Staff with daily camp responsibilities.

 

THE CIT PROGRAM – gives driven, mature, and positive high school students an opportunity to gain critical leadership skills and learn the basics of working with younger children under the guidance of Youth Development Professionals and seasoned Managers and Directors.

THE CIT PROGRAM – is a practical group program that will assist teens in grades 10th-12th to explore careers in the critical fields of youth development, education, and human services. It focuses on building age-appropriate skill-building opportunities and hands-on work experience in four areas

-Career Development

-Customer Service

-Apprenticeship

-Community Service

SUMMER CAMP DURATION:
June 12th to July 28th, 2023 (No camp June 19, July 3, and July 4) Monday – Friday
8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Cunha Middle School Campus

 

Site Expectations:

-Complete Program Application and Essay (Online_

-Commit to 6-8 hours of CIT on-site training

-Commit to volunteering a minimum of four hours per day for a minimum of four weeks. (You can pick and choose what weeks)

-Consent to a background and reference check
