The Boys and Girls Club of the Coastside announced Jill Jacobson, an educator with a background in non-profit and small business management, as the organization’s new executive director.

Jacobson, a Coastside resident for more than 25 years, earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Michigan. During her time on the coast, Jacobson has volunteered on the Board of Directors for both Senior Coastsiders and the Half Moon Bay High School Foundation. She’s also served as the president and treasurer of the Hatch Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization. Most recently, she worked as a fund development associate at the Charles Armstrong School and the San Mateo Public Library Foundation.

“I was really attracted to the mission of the Boys and Girls Club,” said Jacobson in a prepared statement. “I am very excited to lead an organization that impacts so many young people in our community.”
