Half Moon Bay Soccer Club
Half Moon Bay Soccer Club is a competitive soccer clubserving players and families from Montara to Pescadero. HMBSC offers boys and girls U9 to U17 teams that compete in the District 2 CalNorth, and NorCal Premier Region 2 playing leagues and tournaments, with some teams competing at the State Cup and President’s Cup levels.
Teams play Spring season (March – early June) and Fall season (August – early December) with off-season programs available to continue development. Practices are typically twice per week for 90 minutes.
Half Moon Bay Soccer Club Juniors Programis an introductory soccer program for boys and girls born in 2011-2014. Players looking to improve their skill will be introduced to a range of fundamental soccer skills including dribbling, passing and shooting. Positive learning is through fun, exciting, motivating games and exercises. In the end the participants will build motor skills, gain confidence and learn ball handling skills to start their journey towards developing as a soccer player. The sessions are led by members of the HMBSC licensed coaching staff.
Mission: It is our mission to provide young athletes in our community the opportunity to develop their passion for soccer, athletic skills and sportsmanship in a safe, positive, and competitive atmosphere. We will support them in becoming good athletes, students,
and citizens.
Philosophy: The intent of the Half Moon Bay Soccer Club (HMBSC) program is to identify and develop the best youth soccer players in our community. The HMBSC is dedicated to developing not only the player’s soccer skills but to achieve it in an atmosphere of integrity, fairness and impartiality. The player’s physical and cognitive skills and attitude are the criteria considered for the program.
